Retraction(?)

I don't know if this is technically a retraction of the previous post or not...maybe it's more of a modification of it...anyway, it appears, at least at this point, that the Boston Marathon bombings weren't entirely domestic in origin, as I had supposed...the two suspects did live here in the U.S., and the younger brother was a citizen, but apparently there was a foreign political terrorist connection after all...

I am saddened by all of this, and this news is of course disturbing, to say the least...

But I said that I would be the first to admit I was wrong, if indeed I were, and obviously I was wrong, at least in part...

We still need to pray for Boston, however, and for the victims of the bombings and their families...

  1. Bishop,I know your words have a lot of weight but I also know you like the rest of us are touched with your own humanity. And I honestly do not know why people would hold you to whether the Boston bombings are domestic or from international terrotists, it does not diminish the tragedy of this American institution and horrific reality that innocent people are yet needlessly killed and dismembered. These deaths and injuries touch us in very deep places of our soulish realms, knowing that we are all connected and it could have been one of our loved ones but nevertheless the tragedy knows no nationality or culture. I know that the letter kills but the spirit gives life. It is very important to me that Church in the Now is so relevant pertaining to realness in the real world, I am never concerned about your imperfection in your statements. Maturity says spit the bones out and pray for the victims and pray for our nation. God help us all to more sensitive about the core of the issue and not the seemingly important "predictions"....Peace is possible. Thanks for keeping it real and keeping it moving. Blessings are yours today!
